Duane-Lamonte O’Garro is an international showman, powerhouse vocalist, actor, creative director and entrepreneur whose voice and presence command every stage he touches. Born in London, he trained at The Anna Scher Theatre and WAC Performing Arts before launching his professional career at just 19.

He first rose to prominence in 2009 as a standout contestant on The X Factor, capturing the nation’s attention with his magnetic voice. His theatre journey soon followed, with major credits including Daddy Cool (2007), Hairspray (2008), Motown the Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre, 2016), Kinky Boots (2018), The Lion King in Paris (2019) where he starred as Simba, and The Lion King (West End, 2021) where he played Cover Banzai.

In 2025, Duane-Lamonte thrilled thousands across the UK as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Arena Tour, showcasing his powerhouse vocals and stage mastery. Beyond the stage, he has performed for global audiences at luxury destinations, appeared on television hits such as Pop Idol, Dance Dance Dance (with Jessica Wright) and Grange Hill, and collaborated with major international brands.

As the founder and managing director of Lamonte Management Co., Duane-Lamonte champions diverse and underrepresented talent across TV, film, music and theatre. His agency is a creative movement built to inspire visibility, inclusion and long-term change within the arts.

​

From West End spotlights to worldwide stages, Duane-Lamonte O’Garro continues to redefine what it means to be a true modern entertainer. He is excited to join the original cast of I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical playing Hassan Khan and Luther Vandross at the Peacock Theatre, London, in 2026.
