Tarik (he/him) is a multi-disciplinary creative and artist, hailing from Melbourne, Australia.

​

Theatre credits include: Michael in tick, tick...BOOM (Theatr Clwyd), Clyde McPhatter + Others/ Dance Captain in The Drifters Girl (UK Tour); Scarecrow + Dance Captain in The Wiz (Hope Mill Theatre); Roy + in Coming To England (Birmingham Rep); Prince Abdullah in Disney’s Aladdin (West-End); Twig in Bring It On – The Musical (Australian Premiere); CAKE (The Other Palace); Aladdin in Aladdin (Norwich Theatre Royal); iNk’d, (Colchester Fringe; MADIBA

(Australian & New Zealand Tour); ZUP (La Compagnie Urbaine - Switzerland); The Lion King (Melbourne, Australia & Shanghai, China) and the choreographic workshops for Bat Out of Hell (West-End).

 

Film/TV credits include: ‘Angus’ in Mary Poppins Returns (2019); The Little Mermaid (2023); Wicked (2024); Snow White (2025), CBeebies Prom: A Magical Bedtime Story (2025) and Big Night Of Musicals 2022 (BBC1).

Choreography credits include: UK Associate Choreographer for A Strange Loop (Barbican); Associate Choreographer for Beautiful – The Carole King Musical (UK Tour – Curve Theatre); Associate Choreographer for We Aren’t Kid’s Anymore (Savoy Theatre); Choreographer for Choir Boy (Australian Premiere, National Theatre of Parramatta); Choreographer for Beauty and the Beast (Watford Palace Theatre); additional choreography for iNk’d (Colchester

Fringe); Make-A-Wish Australia Annual Gala (2015) and Resident Choreographer for FX Entertainment (2015)

 

Credits as Director include: Legally Blonde (Beck Theatre); High School Musical (Beck Theatre); Assistant Director for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (European Premiere/Hope Mill Theatre).

 

As a performer his Dance/Stage credits include: FKA Twigs (World Tour), Justin Bieber, Aston Merrygold, Keala Settle, Melbourne Fashion Week, Paul Smith, Samsonite, Pringles and many more.

Tarik is also the founder of Artists of Colour Initiative (@aocinitiative), an Australian musical theatre scholarship program, that provides financial assistance and industry support to theatre performers based in Australia, that identify as Black, Indigenous, or as People of Colour.
